Dr Kessedjian has 30 years of experience in the Mental Health sector in a variety of roles and different settings. He obtained his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Birmingham in 2002 and has gone on to develop expertise working with clients who have complex needs, including; early trauma, psychosis, personality disorder and treatment resistant depression. He is a BABCP accredited CBT trainer, supervisor and therapist as well as a former Board Director (Trustee) of the BABCP. He is also DBT trained and brings with him a wealth of experience clinically leading a specialist Community DBT service as well as significant experience in Rehabilitation and Acute Mental Health. He also has a special interest in transcultural psychology and has lead presentations on this topic at an international level.
Upon his appointment into the position of Consultant Clinical Psychologist, Dr Kessedjian had this to say:
